The D cell (LR20 alkaline, R20 zinc-carbon) is the largest round battery: 34 mm across, 1.5 V. In Morocco it is mostly the gas water heater battery, which takes one or two for ignition depending on the model. The C cell (LR14 / R14) is smaller and goes in radios and some torches. Most are sold in pairs.
